Italy Amusement Parks

Italy is an extremely fun and exciting country, so it makes sense that it would house some of the most amazing theme parks in the world. While the country does have over 100 parks, however, only a fraction of those are really worth your money so it is important to choose wisely. If you don’t speak Italian, there are only three phrases you really need to know so you can be aware of what you are getting yourself into when you go to a park. “Parchi Meccanici” or mechanical parks, which basically means parks with big roller coasters and other machine operated rides. “Parchi Acquatici” or water parks, which obviously would have waterslides and other water fun. Parks that mix the two features are called “Parchi Misti.”

Edenlandia, in Naples is one of the most exciting theme parks in Italy. The park is filled with over 20 thrilling rides. It has great Italian food and great entertainment, including shows and other events happening daily. The park can get pretty busy during high tourist season—May through September. It is truly a day of fun and a great place to take your family, especially if your kids are in their teens. It makes for a fun day out in sunny Naples. But, you always need to be on guard in Naples keeping track of your things. It is a high-risk area, especially for tourists in amusement parks where it can be easy to loose track of your belongings.

Caneva World, “Parchi Acquatici”, houses the largest water park in Italy. Caneva World is much more than just a water park though. It also has a movie park called Movieland Studios with many exciting attractions based on actual movies, and Medieval Times and Rock Star restaurants. The water park is called Aqua Paradise, a very fitting name. It is massive and has 4 different areas to keep you and your family occupied all day long. From steep waterslides to a relaxing beach, this water park has something fun and fitting for every member of the family. Also, there is no reason to ever leave the park because the Island Restaurant is located conveniently inside! But, the rest of the Caneva World resort is fun to explore as well. The park is in the beautiful Verona and is a great way to cool down in the hot and sunny summer!

Gardaland is located near Caneva World near the city of Verona and is a hot spot for families. Your youngsters will love the cute and original rides in Fantasy Kingdom and the rest of the park has adrenaline waiting for you and your older kids. The massive park can take about 2 days or more to get through. Not only because Gardaland is so huge but it is also filled with intense rides, crazy entertainers, and amazing shows. Plus, this is one of Italy’s most popular amusement parks, so it can be pretty crowed and lines for the big rides get really long. So, if you are a die-hard thrill seeker, be prepared to spend some time in the lines for those rides. It is truly a family’s dream come true because there is something for everyone. There is great food, amazing rides, and the weather is awesome.
