Seattle Hotels
In the heart of the Northwest’s beautiful landscape is Seattle, a gorgeous place that offers unique and interesting accommodations. The Northwest is also home to some of the world’s friendliest people and thus no matter where you end up staying the staff is sure to be helpful and able to answer any questions you may have, so don’t be afraid to ask. Plus, the landscape of Seattle is so beautiful it is hard to find a hotel without a great view, but choose wisely and certainly feel free to ask about views when booking your room because you wouldn’t want to miss out on this spectacular city.
Bed and Breakfasts: Bed and Breakfasts in Seattle range from elegant and expensive to homey and down to earth. The Elegant B&B is a luxurious experience with spa rooms and gourmet breakfasts. The price ranges from around $225.00-$275.00 the Elegant B&B can offer a romantic weekend getaway and the ultimate Seattle experience. Mildred’s is a more traditional B&B housed in an old Victorian style home situated just minutes from Pike Place Market and the Convention Center. It is run by the friendly and accommodating Mildred and Melodee. The breakfasts are to die for and keep you going all day long. A true home away from home, Mildred’s is a truly unique stay in the heart of Seattle.
Luxury Hotels: There are many high-end hotels in Seattle and because Seattle is such a beautiful and scenic city there are nice big rooms with beautiful views to be had. Besides the traditional waterfront Marriotts and Radissons the best views can be had at the Edgewater Hotel located at Pier 67 situated with a spectacular view of the water. The hotel’s design is heavily influenced by the natural beauty of the Northwest, featuring a lot of knotty pine furniture and river rock fireplaces making it a cozy stay anytime of the year. This also makes it an extremely romantic place to stay, especially if you are looking for a relaxing weekend away with that special someone. Prices range from $125.00-$500.00 per night with a large variety of room types but the less expensive rooms book up fast in high tourist season so be sure to make your reservations well in advance. It is close to some of the city’s most beautiful landmarks and sights.
Moderately Priced Hotels: When staying in the city the best hotel deals are often chains. From the Ramada to Day’s Inn you can find great locations and great prices. There are also a lot of locally owned hotels scattered throughout the city. It is easy to find hotels and check availability online. In my experience it can be fun to stay in a locally owned hotel because it offers more character than some of the big chains, but they do tend to cost a little bit more, but not much! The Roosevelt is a unique boutique hotel in the heart of downtown, right on 7th and Pine. At its doorstep is the threshold to Seattle’s shopping district. The rooms are quaint and cozy, offering a range from double beds to full Jacuzzi suites and the hotel is dog friendly! It is also close to some of the northwest’s most notable restaurants, which means it will be easy for you to sample some of the world’s best food and wine.
