Spain Hotels
Spain is a massive tourist destination, which means it is loaded with hotels of all shapes, sizes, and prices. Depending on what region you are visiting you will always find a great place to stay that inevitably reflects the culture of that specific area.
Places to Stay in Barcelona: The Neri Hotel in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is a great place to stay if you want to experience the mystery and history of this fabulous city. It is a quaint little boutique hotel that is tucked behind the commanding cathedral in the Gothic Quarter. The Gothic Quarter is only a 15 – 20 minute walk to the beach, or you can always take the metro. It is a little bit expensive, but is a great way to experience true Catalan culture. The architecture is chic and stylish, the rooms are small but comfortable and the restaurant has great food. If you are looking for something a little less expensive, it may be difficult to find anything that is not a hostel. If you are planning to stay in the beautiful city for a week or more it is definitely worth looking into to renting an apartment. Doing this can often be much less expensive than a hotel, and you are able to cook your own food, which saves money as well. If you are taking a family holiday, this is definitely a great option and Barcelona has loads of different apartments to choose from all over the city.
Places to Stay in Madrid: Madrid is the capital of Spain, which means it has loads of great places to stay at all different price levels. There are loads of four and even five star hotels in the city, but if budget is what you are after, there are plenty of options for you as well. All of the hotels and hostels in Madrid are rated through a star system. While 4 star and 3 star hotels are the cleanest, 2 start hotels will have the best deals and usually are still pretty clean. The Alexandra Hotel, for example, is a two star hotel but still has many of the amenities of nicer hotels including a breakfast. It is conveniently located near a metro stop making it easy for you to get anywhere you need to go in Madrid. Again, if your holiday in Madrid is for a week or longer it is always a good idea to look for an apartment. They often end up being much cheaper than a hotel and you have the added convenience and comfort of cooking for yourself.
Places to Stay in Seville: Seville is a great city loaded with tons of unique and hospitable boutique hotels that really give off the flavor and feel of the culture. Seville is a very popular tourist stop, making the price of hotels pretty expensive, but, if you can stay just a little ways outside of the main city, hotel prices drop dramatically. Jardín de la Reina Hotel is located just outside the city and has great prices, especially for families, as they do not charge per person. The hotel includes breakfast with your stay and the rooms are clean and comfortable. This hotel is a great way to explore the city of Seville at a much lower price. If transportation makes it impossible for you to stay outside of the city it is recommended to try and find a holiday apartment to rent in the city. The summer is a great time to find available apartments if you check early enough as many of the local people take their holidays during the summer months. No matter where you stay in or just outside of this enchanting city, however, you are sure to be pleased with your visit!
