Las Vegas Shopping

Whether you are hunting for bargains or blowing your winnings on high-dollar merchandise, few locations provide as much shopping in as highly concentrated area as Las Vegas.

Top Dollar Delights: If it’s luxury goods you seek, Las Vegas has them. All of the major Las Vegas resorts feature multitudes of stores designed to guarantee you get something back for the money you spend. Of course, because this is Vegas, the shopping experience is enhanced by clever design, spectacular attractions, and a general feeling of magnificence.

The granddaddy of Vegas resort shopping, the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace features over 160 designer stores including Gucci, Gianni Versace, and Tiffany & Co., along with replicas of Rome’s famous fountains and a jaw-dropping spiral escalator. The piece de resistance at the Forum Shops is the Atlantis Fountain, a massive structure that teems with animatronic characters depicting the lives of the Roman gods and the lost city of Atlantis.

For a different taste of Italy, the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes follow a winding promenade dotted with street musicians, magicians, and other performers to divert you as you browse more than 80 boutiques, many with an Italian flair. There is even a store specializing in exquisite masks such as those worn for Venice’s Carnivale. The Venetian’s new neighbor and sister luxury property Palazzo has gone even further, bringing new high-end names to Vegas, like the 85,000 square-foot Barney’s New York, as well as smaller boutiques such as Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Louboutin, Bottega Veneta, Salvatore Ferragamo and Chloe.

Of course, all of the swankier hotels offer concierge services that include personal shopping services, should you prefer to have someone else do the legwork for you. Las Vegas never wants you to expect anything less.

Shopping for Bargains: When you want the high-style without the high prices, one of Las Vegas’s outlet malls can be just the ticket.

Conveniently located Downtown, Las Vegas Premium Outlets  is a designer bargain hunter’s paradise. With 150 outlet stores from such names as A|X Armani Exchange, Coach, Burberry, Calvin Klein, all offering deals of 25-65% their regular prices every day, you can’t afford not to make a visit.

Just south of the Strip, the Las Vegas Outlet Center offers more standard mall fare outlets such as Adidas, Aeropostale, Lane Bryant, Levi’s, Nike, and many others, also for regular discounts of 25 to 65%. These two outlet malls are owned by Chelsea Premium Outlets, which has malls all over the country and offers a VIP Shopper Club that entitles you to extra discounts at any of their centers.

Regular Malls á la Vegas: The Strip has plenty to offer in the way of more familiar shopping malls, as well, but they never let you forget you’re in Vegas.

Town Square Las Vegas is ideal if you’re feeling a little bling fatigue and want to wander in an open-air version of your hometown mall. With all the trappings of a typical mall in a fairly affluent neighborhood anywhere in the country, Town Square is the perfect place to take in a movie, eat at a favorite established casual dining chain restaurant, and hit up a few stores like Sephora, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, J. Crew, H&M, and many more. Town Square offers lots of events that serve the local community, such as a safe Halloween and Santa at Christmas, that can give you the feeling of home to break up a long vacation.

Fashion Show Las Vegas is a massive two-million square-foot shopping extravaganza that features seven anchor stores along with 250 specialty stores, boutiques and restaurants. Located across from the Wynn Las Vegas, this unique indoor/outdoor mall is covered by a huge hovering canopy called The Cloud, which provides a shield from the hot desert sun during the day and serves as a screen for multimedia projections at night. The shopping possibilities live up to the venue, with Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Dillard’s holding down the fort along with almost any apparel, beauty, housewares, or gift store you’d expect to find in a mall represented.

As with anything in Las Vegas, shopping can be a full-time pursuit, and while the stores may be familiar, the experience is unlike anything else you will find in other places.
